Positive reviews on your Google My Business page are awesome. Like solid building blocks for your online marketing efforts they provide credibility, reassurance to potential customers, and are valuable SEO ranking signals, too.
However, people are busy. Leaving reviews is rarely a priority for even the most satisfied of clients. So how can we get more Google reviews?
The following two steps are a good place to start:
A Google review link makes it quick and easy for customers to leave a review (without one, it’s a much longer process which is a turn-off for many). It’s straightforward to generate too – simply log into your Google My Business account, scroll to the “get more reviews” box, click the box, and copy the generated link.
Get in touch, we’re happy to help
When you have a happy client or someone for whom you’ve just done a favour, don’t hesitate to ask for a Google review. You can say something like, “We’re so glad you’re happy with our service! Would you mind leaving us a Google review? It would help us reach more customers.” Then, send them a quick email with a link to your Google Business Profile.
For more impact, send a nicely designed PDF explaining the value of reviews and asking politely if they’ll leave one for you. Be sure to include a clear call to action, such as a button or QR code links to your Google Business Profile. Check put the one below for example:

If you’re meeting someone in person or sending something physical by mail or courier, then a nicely designed business card complete with QR code makes the process of asking for and leaving a review nice and simple.

If you’ve received some good Google reviews, why not showcase them on your website? Instant credibility, plus there’s the link for if someone feels motivated to add to them.
