9:55 achieves Carbon Charter Silver

We are thrilled to have been awarded Silver Level Carbon Charter, marking a huge step on our journey towards net zero.

The Carbon Charter is awarded to companies and organisations that are making conscious efforts to reduce their carbon emissions.

Our proposal

To achieve the Silver Award, we composed an environmental action plan which documented a number of changes that we intend to make, or have already started to introduce, as a company.

Included in the plan was a number of pledges relating to reusing and recycling, as well as reviewing the environmental credentials of the suppliers and printers that we use.

As a marketing agency, connecting people is part of what we do and building relationships with clients is at the heart of the 9:55 philosophy.

Where possible, though, we are trying to cut down on our collective mileage and are therefore making use of online meetings instead.

A flexible approach

We also facilitate flexible working for the whole team, reducing unnecessary commuting.

What’s more, the 9:55 team is encouraged to make small changes – such as turning off lights, not overfilling the kettle, and keeping the heating on low – as we are well aware that these little actions undoubtedly contribute to reducing our environmental impact.

A proud achievement… but more is to come

In summary, we have made a pledge to reduce our individual, and in turn our collective, carbon footprint. We are proud and grateful to have received recognition in the form of the Silver Award, but we must now continue to work towards our goal of net zero.
